Author Visit: Pep the Poet
Earlier this month, children at Withymoor enjoyed a visit from Pep the Poet, organised and funded by Friends of Withymoor.
Everyone met 'Pep' during our whole school assembly and had the chance to listen to him performing some of his poems. Pep then delivered poetry workshops to every year group in school, where children had the chance to listen to more of his hilarious and thoughtful poems and even helped to perform them too! The children had a fabulous time listening to, and learning, poems such as 'Brummie Bumble Bee', 'Terry the Tadpole' (all the way from Liverpool!) and 'The Chicken Rap' as well as many others.
Pep the Poet also kindly donated four signed copies of his books to our school library, so children can re-visit his poems whenever they want to.
