'Classrooms in the Clouds' is a charity that exists to support children's education in the remote villages of Nepal. The charity is involved in:

• Building good quality classrooms
• Sponsoring teachers, supporting teacher training and encouraging employment of female teachers
• Working in partnership with local Nepalese communities and international partners

Following a special assembly a few weeks ago when we all learned about the fantastic work carried out by Classrooms in the Clouds, we all were inspired to support this charity by buying special wrist bands and, last Friday, by having a Pyjama Day in school. 

I am pleased to report that Withymoor Primary School is able to donate £540.78 to this wonderful charity. A big thank you goes to all children and their families for helping us raise this huge amount.

It is great to think that our pupils have helped to improve the lives and education of children who are not as fortunate as themselves.
