Wednesday 18th March – From Public Health
The symptoms of coronavirus are a new continuous cough, where you have started coughing repeatedly, or a high temperature where you feel hot to touch on your chest or back. If you have these symptoms, stay at home for 7 days. If you live with other people, they should stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms.
If the symptoms continue for more than 7 days, visit NHS 111 online www.111.nhs.uk or call 111. It is really important that people do not attend the doctor or a hospital to be tested, to protect others.
As well as social distancing, one of the best ways to protect ourselves and others remains regular handwashing and respiratory hygiene – catch it; kill it; bin it!
